How to Stop Feeling BLAH

Be Thankful

I am thankful for:

My strong, healthy body

My boys

My supportive, patient husband

My family who picks us up when we fall

My friends who make me a better person

My jeans which are too tight, but am thankful I have jeans to put on

A kitchen full of food

My cousin who created a website featuring family recipes:

Firefly Vodka (only 66 calories per ounce)

Having 2 interviews last week

Finding a high school youth group that my high schooler loves

How adaptable my middle son is

Facebook  for allowing me to feel connected to friends

Twitter for teaching me something new everyday

Running for teaching me something about myself after every run

My 6 year old who is always happy and ready to play

  2. Thankful for…..
    -being able to work out and feeling better than I did 10 years ago
    -that I can run for 2 1/2 hours and still function the rest of the day
    -a son that is finding his way in college and is a most enjoyable child -we get each other
    -a son who’s full of so many talents and who’s light bulb may have turned on and is beginning to use those talents
    -a daughter who is sweet and tender despite adversity
    -son who struggles yet perservers and loves me like no other
    -a husband who always has and always will love me
    -a large nutty family that gives and gives even when there’s nothing left to give
    -a job that has sustained me through many tough times
    -a running partner and great friend who inspires me and shares my deepest darkest secrets and never shares them with others
    -a bestie who is stronger than she thought she was
    -a home that feels like home
    -so many connections made with long lost friends this year
    -that my stomach will be full if I choose for it to be this Thanksgiving!

  3. I am thankful for
    – my children, all six of them. Even though they are mostly adults now, they are still my babies.
    – fantastic friends
    – a place to live
    – family that is strange but still family
    – a full pantry this year
    – a job that I am growing in and love
    – re-connections with friends from my childhood
    – a church I love – not the building but the people
    – health and fitness that keeps me going

    • Oh yeah, Anj, I was going to say how fantastic you found a youth group your son likes as that is so hard. Did he, by chance, go to NCYC this year?

  4. – friends who have their own blogs and make me happy every time I read them
