Hillhouse Caramel Corn
This recipe will create absolutely perfect caramel popcorn. Cooks Beware! It’s nearly impossible to conduct a taste test without the test becoming handfuls! I made this tin for R1 to give away at this White Elephant exchange and the rest of the popcorn did not survive the day! It really is that good. Thanks to my good friends at the HillHouse!
4 bags of microwave popcorn (I used Movie Theater flavor=heavy butter)
2 sticks of butter
2 cups of brown sugar
1/2 cup Karo Syrup
Pre-heat oven to 250 degrees
On medium high heat boil butter, brown sugar and syrup for minutes only stirring 2 times throughout.
Pour over popcorn evenly, stir to even out carmel and place on baking sheets.
Bake for 1 hour, flipping popcorn every 15 minutes
